Privacy notice

What this firmware server learns about the panels and people that use it, and why. Last changed 10/10/2026.

Who runs this service

This server is run by RoboAlarms. For anything about your data, write to privacy@roboalarms.com.

What a panel sends

A RoboAlarms panel asks this server now and then whether there is new firmware for it. The question holds only what choosing firmware needs: the channel it follows (stable, beta, alpha or dev), its board, board revision and chip revision, the name of the firmware build and the version it runs, the add-ons it has, and the languages it uses. It holds no name, address, email, serial number or other ID.

Like every request on the internet, each one also carries the internet (IP) address it came from. The same goes for this page, the download page and the downloads themselves.

Why

Each rests on legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): keeping panels up to date and the service running, without collecting anything that identifies a person.

How long it is kept

Who else handles it

Your rights

You may ask for access to data about you, for its erasure, and object to its use, and you may complain to a data protection authority. This server holds nothing that links a check or a download to a person, so there is usually nothing to look up.

The admin area

This notice covers the public service. The people who publish firmware here sign in to a separate area, whose sign-in page tells them what it records.
